Marlene TODD-LIPPERT Obituary

Marlene Adair Todd-Lippert, (William Todd) 72, of Spokane, WA. passed away peacefully on November 22nd, 2024, after an illness. Born February 4th, 1952, in Fort Lewis, WA. Marlene resided in Spokane from the age of 11. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Lucille Blackman and Iyler Platt Lippert; and her brother, Iyler Dean Lippert; and brother-in-law, James Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Sadye Louise Todd Luna; son, Jack S. Todd; grandson, Jesse Luna; granddaughter, Azzure Todd; sisters, Karen Walters of Texas, Jerrine Kirsch (Mike Zeller) of Nevada, Dana Lippert of Idaho, and Denise Raugust (Dale) of Spokane; and nieces, Dawn and Jessica, Nephews Iyler, Benjamin, and Steven.

Marlene graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1971, earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University in 1993 and a Master's of Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 1999. In retirement, she found joy in her work at Rockwood.

Marlene had a big heart. She was kind and generous. Even when money was tight, she found a way to give gifts and cards. She was always respectful of others, and this was demonstrated not only with those she loved, but also those she served. Whether volunteering or at her job, her focus was what she could do to help you. Her presence was uplifting to those in her circle, whether over a lifetime or just for one day, the day of service. Marlene's passions included drawing, embroidery, crocheting, and baking. She dedicated her time to community service as an AmeriCorps Volunteer, and with the Spokane suicide prevention hotline and domestic violence. A lover of nature, Marlene cherished hummingbirds and butterflies. Her family and friends will deeply miss her for her gentle spirit and kind heart.
