Melvin J. "Mike"

Passed away to be with his Lord on March 10th in Spokane, Washington. He was born to Clarence and Josie Marsh in Sprague, Washington on August 31, 1920. He graduated from Amber High School in 1939 and went on to Eastern Normal School. In 1941 he decided to come home to form a partnership with his brother Howard to take care of the family farm. He was a long time member of Amber Grange, Washington Cattlemen's Association, Washington Wheat Growers Association, Washington Arabian Horse Association, and long time director of Cheney Grain Growers. He is survived by his wife Mary of 67 years, his sister Mildred Cummings, sister-in-law Irma Ebbert, son John Marsh and wife Becky, son Nick Marsh and wife Shelly. He is also survived by, six grandchildren; Scott Marsh (Michelle), Greg Marsh (Kristin), Shana Willett (John), Tom Marsh, Steve Marsh (Amy), Kevin Marsh (Amber). Ten great grandsons, two great granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Howard and wife Christine Marsh. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 16 at 1:00 pm at Cheney Funeral Chapel, 1632 W. First St., Cheney, WA. Memorials may be made to Cheney Faith Center, 300 N 2nd, Cheney, WA 99004 and Hayford Community Church, 5306 S Hayford Road, Spokane, WA 99224. Online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com
