Michael GENTEMAN Obituary
Just as he is pictured here in younger years, Michael is now finally flying again! We hope he has gone to a place where there is no more pain and only those things that made him happy; friends, dogs, cats, skiing, music, good food, pretty girls, science fiction, and much, much more.
Michael was a professional aerial freestyle skier in his early years, then morphed into a successful mechanical engineer, holding patents for several inventions. He leaves behind those that love him. His sons, Kian (Eada) of Denver and Ryan of Seattle (their mothers, Lisa and Karie); brother, Herb (Lin); sister, Kathryn (Peter); nephews, Adam (Pia) and Micah (TJ). His love for his beautiful boys kept him going for a very long time, but his body finally just gave out.
A special thanks to everyone, especially his Liberty Lake neighbors, who continued to be kind and accept him through his struggles, particularly his best friend since kindergarten, Kevin Pirello.
A gathering will be held at a later time to share memories of his happy times. We will always have his great smile and clever wit in our hearts to remember him.
If desired, donations in his memory to the animal shelter of your choosing would bring him much happiness.

My heart is heavy learning of Mike's passing... my sincere condolences to Herb, Kathryn and family. Mike had an awesome spirit with a sharp mind, quick wit and wry smile. I'm blessed to have spent countless hours in the mountains and lakes with Mike. Thanks for the wonderful memories... special shout out to Nate and the time we all spent on the Chinese Junk... RIP

We did not get to watch Mike ski, but we watch him sail his Hobbie Cat; and he was an artist. Mike was able to find wind when no one else could. He was able to dance across the lake. Not only was he an artist on the water, Mike had a big heart and a welcoming laugh. We prayerfully lift up Mike´s family and are thankful for the great memories! The Hislops.
