Michael HALL Obituary

On the night of January 24, 2023, our dad packed up his toy trucks and one-eyed teddy bear and went on up to heaven to be with our grandparents.

Michael (Mike) was born at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington, on July 24, 1942, to Homer and Marian Hall. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and immediately went to work for the Spokane Chronicle/Spokesman-Review, retiring forty years later as a Zone Manager. He was introduced by his mother to Judy at a summer picnic. That introduction led to 58 years of marriage, two daughters, and four grandchildren. Mike was a historian that could tell you anything you ever wanted to know about the Spokane area. He loved to go on walks, hunt for toys and deals at garage/antique sales, visit old houses, eat at Ming Wah restaurant with his grandkids and wasn't afraid to take detours up to the very end. He loved his family very much and always wanted to make sure we all knew that.

Mike is survived by his wife Judy; sister Zoe Arneson; daughters Michelle (Mark) Martell and Cheryl (Mark) Kettner; grandchildren Justin Haldeman, Jennifer Haldeman, Lauren Kettner, and Marisa Kettner; bonus granddaughters Samantha (Alex) Renner and Caitlin (Nick) McCaslin; bonus great-grandchildren James, Lucas, Brady, and Nora; sister-in-law Cecelia (Peter) Sanfelippo; nephews Peter, Michael, Jon and Lucas, and their families; niece Teresa and her family.

A private family service will be held for Mike at a later date as per his request.
