Nelson MORRIS Obituary
Nelson Morris, age 54, of Spokane, WA, passed away on October 14, 2023, He will be remembered as a dedicated father, husband, loyal friend and amazing teacher.
Nelson was born September 26, 1969, to Paul and Carmen Morris in Minneapolis, MN. His family later moved to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Medical Lake, WA.
Nelson attended Medical Lake High School, Eastern Washington University and received a Masters degree from Grand Canyon University. He has been a high school history teacher at Medical Lake High School for 27 years.
Nelson and Teresa were married August 13, 1994. They have three children together; Mason (20), Pierson (18), Cecelia (15). Nelson was a sports fanatic, he loved watching all sports especially the Mariners and WSU football. He loved collecting many things including comic books and baseball cards. Nelson had many hobbies and so many things he enjoyed, but the one thing in life that brought him the most joy was being a Dad. He loved his kids unconditionally and was so proud of the people they have become. He loved watching their sporting events and other activities. Throughout his life and career as a teacher, Nelson positively influenced so many kids and touched more lives than we will ever know. Nelson's wit, humor and kindhearted spirit are his legacy that we can strive to carry on.
Nelson is survived by his wife, Teresa Morris; his children, Mason, Pierson and Cecelia Morris; in laws, Bev and Darrell Driggs; brother in law, Darren Driggs; his brother, Guy Morris and best friend Zane Higgins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Morris and Carmen Morris; and two brothers Marty and Mike Kopnick.
All are welcome to Nelson's Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 25th, 2:00pm, Medical Lake High School. 200 E. Barker Rd, Medical Lake, WA

Grew up and was good friends with Nelson, Zane and Matt. Played little league baseball with all three of them and played football in my back yard. Nelson was a good friend.
