Patricia ASTLEFORD Obituary

Patricia Anne "Pat" Astleford passed away peacefully on August 24, 2021 with her family by her side. Pat was born on 7/371932 in Minneapolis, MN to Lawrence and Minnie O'Donnell. The family moved to Seattle, WA when Pat was a young girl. After graduating from Holy Rosary High School, she went to work and at the age of 22, she attended a USO dance as she often did, and met a handsome young sailor, Dick Astleford. After a year of dancing and dating, they were married in Seattle on 6/25/1955. A marriage lasting 66 years, 60 days. Pat and Dick moved to Spokane after the ceremony. Pat worked at Madren Studebaker and United Paint. In 1961, motherhood became her passion.

After the kids were older, she worked at SFCC and MDA. She also volunteered at Nine Mile School, Gonzaga Prep and the VA Hospital.

She also loved to dance, in her younger years, she taught tap dance, ballet and hula. She loved traveling to Leavenworth, the Oregon Coast, Reno and Northern Quest! She loved to bowl, and was in the traveling ladies 600 club.

She is survived by her loving husband and constant companion of 66 years, Dick Astleford, children Dean (Tracy) Astleford, Jim (Laura) Astleford and Megan Astleford. Grandchildren, Adam, Bailey, Conor, Treavor, Lauren, Ian, Connor, Seamus, Eammon, Molly and 10 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Mary) O'Donnell of Seattle. Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Jane Chandler.

Services will be held at St. Aloysious Church - Rosary September 8, 2021 at 7:00 pm; Mass and funeral September 9, 2021 at 2:00pm. Reception to follow.
