Paul SASKI Obituary

SASKI, Paul A. Paul A. Saski, 72, passed peacefully into Heaven on July 2, 2014 after a long illness and a valiant battle. Paul was born in San Francisco, graduated with a Master's in History, from UCSB, and taught in Bay area private schools for many years. He leaves behind granddaughters Maria, Annika and Olivia. He met yearly with his college buddies," the boyZ". These friends, John and Mike (CA), Andy (CO), Jerry (OR) and Dave (MT) were gracious enough to hold this years reunion in Cd'A so that Paul would be able to attend. Thank you, men. Paul also says farewell to his roommate from UN (Reno), Barry Kagan who taught him "how to study ". Paul loved his little "fur girl" kitties, "Miss Kiss" and "Little.", who are wondering where Daddy is. Paul and I would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the numerous and tireless medical professionals who cared for him for so long and so well. I wish to send all the gratitude I have to Drs. Boyim, Kneller and Wyrick, Super Nurse Cheryl, all his girlfriends at the INR clinic and to "Aunts" Shirley and Cathy, all of whom are with Rockwood Cardiology. Thank you, too to the unsung heroines , the nurses of Deaconess 7th floor. He loved you all and you made the transition so much easier for both of us. God bless you all. There will no be service at this time, but one will be held in California in the future. Paul loved the Talking Heads song "Heaven". Please smile when you hear it and know that he is smiling because he discovered it's true and it is ...well.. Heaven!

Mr. Saski was a respected teacher and coach of mine at Drew in S.F., Ca., in the early 1980s. He impressed me with his intelligence, good humor, kindness and patience. He was appreciated and well respected. I wanted to send my condolences to his family and friends. All best.

Paul was my history teacher at Drew in the late 60s and early 70s. Fantastic memories from 50 years ago. I just found out on 9/19/22

I sit here at 61 years old, and Mr. Salaski entered my mind fondly. I invited him to my wedding in 1981, he was my teacher at Drew college Prep. I cared for him.... he listened to his students and supported them no matter how immature they were, which I cetainly was....HE MADE a difference in my life....he has lived on through my years. I hope this finds you well and know he touched a life

I read with sadness, just today, of Paul's death. We were colleagues at Drew in the 70's. My son and his family are visiting SF for the first time and asked to be reminded about where I had taught. This led me to think about my many wonderful Drew friends --Paul, Chuck, Margaret and others. The lesson of course is to keep in touch--life goes by so quickly. I remember Paul's sense of humor and always, his kindness.

As I began my Drew career in 1991, I heard many wonderful student and faculty comments and reflections about Mr. Saski. I know the school was enhanced by his presence in many ways. I am grateful for the impact he had on so many students. All of us here at Drew send our condolences to his family.
