Ryder McDOWELL Obituary

April 17, 2008 - April 25, 2025

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ryder Malachi McDowell. Ryder was called home on Friday, April 25, 2025, just a week after his 17th birthday. A life that was just beginning cut too short.

Ryder was born in Spokane, WA, on April 17, 2008, to his mother, Sara McDowell. Though he grew up an only child, until he became a big brother in November 2023 to his twin brothers, Uriah and Roman, he had a sibling-like relationship with his cousins, Hailey and Addison Musa, and Carter Cochran. Ryder also had a very close relationship with his grandma, Tiaa Musa, and papa, Tim McDowell, whom he lived with. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ryder was a loving, caring, gentle soul who touched everyone that was fortunate to know him. His unforgettable laugh and goofiness will forever be cherished by his friends and family. Ryder had a joy for gaming, collecting the coolest shoes, and hanging out with his many friends.

Close family and friends will gather on June 9, 2025, in Spokane, WA, to celebrate the 17 short years we had with him, to share memories and stories of our beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
