Sally ANDERSON Obituary

Sally Anderson of Spokane, WA passed on May 15, 2025. Sally was born on February 19th, 1950, to Jim and Rita Lounsberry of Bellingham, WA. She grew up in Bellingham, relocating to Thailand with her family where she graduated from the International School of Bangkok (ISB) in 1968. Sally met the love of her life, Steve Anderson, in a little local bar while living and working as a bank teller in Seattle in 1972. They were married on September 24th, 1977, moved to Spokane, and started a family. She set about a career as hairdresser, and spent her retirement volunteering for multiple philanthropies. She was most fond of her work with children, including the Ronald McDonald House and Northwest North Pole Adventures. Sally was a lover of life, a great friend, who lit up the room with her smile and spunky personality. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with friends, her ISB classmates, being on the water, and a good class of red wine. During the holidays she loved to bake, and her festive spirit was contagious. Sally is survived by her three sons, Chad, Ross, Joel (Karen); and three grandchildren Daxton, Bode and Bruce; and sister, Diane. A celebration of life will be held at Embers on the Lake, 12008 N Woodland Beach Dr., Hauser, ID, on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, from 12:30-2:30pm.

She was such a special person from cutting my young boys to her special laugh and our later friendship. She will be missed.
