On January 11, 2017, in the early hours of the morning, we lost a wonderful, wonderful man much sooner than we all expected. Shane was taken from us.
If you knew Shane, you'd know that he had spent forty years working for the City of the Spokane Street Department. He loved his job, he was good at it and he will be missed.
If you knew Shane, you would know his family lost their center, their very soul. To Karen, his wife, he was her "prince in rusty armor", her BD to her LD; her rock, her fortress, her everything. To Jennifer, Joe, Tim and Emily, he was dad. He loved the pants off y'all and he was always there for you. So very very proud of the people you've become. To Jason, Beth and Tonni, it was "welcome to the family, no questions asked". He loved you too, as you made his children happy. To Betsy, Patrick, Toria, Gavin and Hailey he was a larger than life grampa. He could fix anything for you and he was your biggest supporter.
He loved us all so very deeply. We were his world from FNDN to Oregon coast vacations. Rest in peace and love. We will remember you and smile.
Services at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION , Tuesday, January 17th, 2017 at 2PM.

Smart, funny, quick wit, honest. In his words a company man. I worked with him for 10 years, and the City was fortunate to have him. He really cared about doing the job. Just a great person. Gone way too soon.
