Sharon MUMAU Obituary

September 24, 1948 - February 24, 2025

Valleyford - Sharon Jean Mumau, 76, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sharon was born September 24, 1948, in Colfax, WA. She lived in St. John, WA, with her parents, Loren and Anna Mae Mann, and younger brother, Marvin, until the second grade, when they moved to Valleyford, WA.

Sharon met her husband of 57 years, Daren Mumau, while he was in the service. They were married July 13, 1968, and lived in Germany while he finished his tour there. Moving back to Spokane, WA, she was a secretary for the Spokane Chamber of Commerce, while Daren finished his military service. Sharon was also a Master Gardener for many years. She enjoyed gardening and never met a stray cat that she couldn't tame and make a pet.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Daren; sons, Lynn and Myron; grandson Jaden; and brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Vickie Mann; along with several nieces and nephews.

Sharon will be placed to rest at the Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Union Gospel Mission or the charity of your choice.
