CORNWELL, Stephanie
On October 4th our beautiful angel, Stephanie, was called to be with our Lord and Savior.
She grew up in Mead and Deer Park, graduating Mead High School and attending SFCC. A published poet, she approached life with the philosophies of strength, kindness, giving and love. She exuded a head turning magnetism that drew others into her light. A mother of two girls, in which she instilled her love and smile. A creature of fashion and style, she expressed herself in dress. From tomboy, diva, or stunning beauty, every phase of her life was remarkable and special. Amazing smile, contagious laugh, jokes to storytelling, friendly conversation to deep talks, she was the one. She is missed by all who knew her; a blessing called Stephanie is in our hearts forever.
Stephanie is survived by her precious children Enthy and Amelia, parents Mitch and Karen Cornwell, Ron and Bea Shine. Her grandparents Larry and Shirley Cornwell and Joy Panagos. Her sister Breanna and husband Will Oakley. Step brothers and sisters Holly, Josh, Joe, Pat and Cassie. Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandfather Terry Panagos.
Viewing is 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, October 12th at SPOKANE CREMATION and FUNERAL SERVICE, 2832 N. Ruby, Spokane, WA. Memorial Service to be held Monday, October 17th at 3pm at Family of Faith Community Church, 708 W. Nora, Spokane, WA. A trust is set up in Stephanie's name for her daughters at Washington Trust Bank.

Stephanie,
Your mom left a note on my door the other day to call. I did thinking it was odd. She told me that you were gone. My heart dropped. We spent a significant amount of time together this summer and then we had both got busy in our lives and lost touch again. I had just thought we had until she told me the news. I love you so much Stephanie. We have been so close for over a decade making you one of my dearest friends and most of all my first true love. I will always cherish the time we did spend together, the hugs you gave and most of all the love we shared. Steph I love you and will never forget the precious time we shared together. I will miss your smile, your hugs, your laugh everything about you. I will never forget you beautiful and will see when I get there. I love you Stephanie

I haven't written sooner because I didn't know what to say....it's been two months now and I still don't know what to say....my heart is shattered to know that I will never see you again...to know that you're gorgeous daughters won't get to grow up with you...and your family and friends have to live without you...your contagious smile, your warm hugs, your always kind words, your huge heart, and you infectious laugh......all things that I miss so much but have always held dear to my heart and always will....I'm a better person for knowing you...I wish more than anything that we could all have just one more day with you....I miss you so much

Steph; It has been 2 months today and it has been a very hard day. As time goes by, we find ourselves missing you more and more and being set off by music and pictures and anything that might make us think of you, especially Enthy and Millie. We see you in their eyes everytime we spend time with them. We love thinking of you and talking about old times, but the pain is still so fresh, it's hard to do without the tears. The holidays are upon us now and the memories that go with them are bitter sweet. Today I had a wonderful memory of you on a Christmas day several years back and when I see you again I am going to share that memory with you so we can laugh about it together. If only we had do-overs Steph, there are so many, many things I would do differently in hopes that maybe one of them would have changed the way things turned out. You have gone ahead and cleared the path for us and when it is our time, we will join you in celebration. Until we are together again, I hope you know how much I love you.

Dear Mitch, Karen, Bea, Ron and family,
You all are in our prayers. Steph always had a way of making you feel as though you were important, no matter how insignificant you may have been. She was a beautiful and charasmatic woman who will be greatly missed. Heaven has inherited a stunning ornament all too soon.

Sweet sweet Stephanie! Ohhh how I'll miss your laugh and smile. Such a bright light would come from you when you would enter a room. You could always make me smile even when I didn't want to. With all the time that we are given and all of the time we waste it's never until they are gone that we realize how much they have changed our lives. I only wish I had spent more time with Stephanie, but with the time I did spend with her I know she made me a better person and I could never thank her enough for that. With out her kind words and warm heart I don't know where I would be today.

To everyone who knew Stephanie, she was an amazing, kind, and warm heart-ted person. I will never forget how seeing her contagious smile would brighten any body's day. Her laugh and smile would light up any room. We all know that you are in a better place and that your looking down on upon your beautiful daughters and will always watch over them! I am glad to have been able to spend a fabulous weekend with Steph for Labor Day. She was a vivacious, beautiful woman with a contagious personality and smile. I am sad I didn't get to see her more often.
