Timothy HARE Obituary

HARE, Timothy Frederick This is our final farewell to the most amazing, courageous and kind brother any siblings could ever have known or imagined. Tim was born in Spokane, WA on May 25, 1950 to Cecil J. Hare and Elizabeth O'Brien VanHoomissen. He attended St. Aloysius Grade School until our family relocated to Coeur d'Alene, ID. In 1963 after the death of his father, the family moved back to Spokane where he completed four years of high school at Gonzaga Prep. Coming from the family football legend of his father, Cecil and Uncle Ray, he also played four years at G-Prep. After graduation, he went on the play football at Spokane Falls Community College. Football was in his blood and it was no surprise to us at all, that he would become the Number 1 fan of the Seattle Seahawks from the beginning. He never missed a game. And last, but not least, music to Tim was a great source of comfort and joy. His knowledge, love, and instant recall of the '60s and '70s songs was incredible. Long live Mick Jaggar of the Rolling Stones and Ann Wilson of Heart - his favorites. Anyone who knew Tim, loved his funny, wacky sense of humor! He was making us all laugh to the very end. Our family would like to recognize and thank Eastern State Hospital and West Lake Hospital for the many years of loving and respectful care they administered to Tim. Words cannot express our gratitude. Tim is survived by his siblings, Sheila Hare, Becky Hare, Melissa Hogan, Tom Hare and Jenny Hagstromer; his stepfather, James VanHoomissen; his uncle and aunt, Pat and Teresa O'Neill, uncle Robert O'Brien and aunt Maureen; one nephew, four nieces and numerous cousins. He will be forever loved and remembered in our hearts. Memorial Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory (2203 N. Division) with a reception to follow also at Hennessey's. To view Tim's online memorial, please visit www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
