News Death Notice
LEWIS, Aaron Harrison Cooley "Kat" 46, of Columbus, passed away on July 26, 2016 at Mt. Caramel East Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1969, in Springfield, the son of Ronnie and Sharon (Warren) Lewis. Along with his parents, Aaron is survived by his sons, Cameron and Darric; daughter, Haillie Lewis; grandchild, Gavin Lewis; siblings, Gina Lewis and Robyn Petrikas (Albert); nieces, Brittani, Bridgett and Mahlea Lewis, Alayna Petrikas; nephew, Ashton Petrikas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends. He was preceded by his grandparents, Harriet Washburn and Jimmy and Betty Lewis. Aaron was a big sports enthusiast of Penn State, New York Yankees and Florida State. He was a down to earth, loving and straight forward person to his children and family and always enjoyed attending family functions, playing bid whiz and spades, listening to classic hip hop and watching classic cartoons with the kids. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5-6p.m. with service beginning at 6p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER. Rev. William Earl Richardson officiating. Ronnie and Sharon, I wanted to be with yesterday, it was heartbreaking to hear about Aaron's passing. Brent and I begin to know your pain. Diona would call Aaron her buddy. Who would think that a little over a year later they both would be in a place where there's nothing but joy, peace and love? May GOD wrap his wings around you and your family as you go through this journey.
