Anthony Cornelison Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

CORNELISON, Anthony D. "Tony" 41, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, May 6, 2006 after a life long struggle with Marfan Syndrome. He was born on September 17, 1964 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Rita (Lay) Eisman and Marvin Cornelison. Tony was a 1982 graduate of Shawnee/ Springfield Joint Vocational School and was a member of First Lutheran Church and more recently was attending Beacon Street Church of Christ in Christian Union with his grandmother. He was a master mechanic and enjoyed helping family and friends with home improvement and landscaping projects. He was exploring a college degree in the medical technology field and had planned to volunteer at our local hospitals. Tony enjoyed off road truck racing, riding his motorcycle, white water rafting, camping, fishing, hiking, model cars and planes and being with his dogs Buster and Ginger. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing video games with Asia, helping Cole fix things and playing with Olivia. His strength and fortitude will be an inspiration to us forever. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Rita and Sandy Eisman, Springfield, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Briget and Gary Forsythe and their children Cole and Olivia, Kandy and Ron Simison and their daughter Asia all of Springfield, maternal grandmother Kathryn (Andy) Marshall, maternal uncles, Bob (Sharon) Lay, West Palm Beach, Florida, Darrell Lay, Springfield, very special aunt Mary E. Taylor and (adopted) aunt Dianna McCarty and many special cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin, maternal uncles, Larry, Jerry and Paul Lay and his dog, Buster. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Joseph H. Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, New York 11050. Rita and Sandy,

There are no words that can express our sadness at the news of the loss of Tony. The two of you have always been such a source of strength and encouragement to all of us in the Marfan Community. We only wish that we could be there with you in person to support you at this time. Those of us with Marfan Syndrome know what it is to face a lifetime of physical suffering, yet to always strive to let our spirits rise above the pain. The book of Revelation reminds us the "God will wipe away all tears and death will be no more," and when we enter into His Kingdom there will be "no dying, nor crying, nor pain, for only the past has passed away." Tony now waits for us in that place where his spirit is free to soar beyond the physical pain that we must still endure. We love you both very much and we extend our deepest sympathies to the rest of your family.

Rita, Sandy, Bridget, Kandy, we are so very sorry for your loss, it is a time that we never think will happen. But it does and its always unexepectedly. No words can express the sorry and the loss we all feel. Time does make things better, but does not ever heal the heart. We are so deeply sorry that we can not be their for you in your time of need but your family is in our hearts and we will miss Tony terribly.

We love you
