Brian Fleming Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

FLEMING, Brian "Buckshot" 39, of Springfield, passed away July 17, 2005. He was born April 23, 1966 in California, the son of James and Loretta (Shappee) Fleming. Brian was a Springfield Firefighter and Paramedic. He was also a graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a member at the First Christian Church. Mr. Fleming enjoyed the ocean, exercising and reading. Brian will be remembered as a great father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing with his children and giving them "camelback rides." He leaves to cherish his memory, a family that meant the world to him, including his wife of eight years, Angie; daughters, Taylor and Peyton and a son, Cody. Also surviving are his parents; a sister, Dana (Mark) Munson; brothers, Kenny and Kevin Fleming; a special niece, Emily; a special aunt, Eleanor; and several other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. in the First Christian Church, 313 West High Street. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Pastor Dale Holzbauer officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "The Fleming Children Fund" at Security National Bank. The family is being served by the JONES- KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
