Gabriel Custer Obituary
Family-Placed Obituary
CUSTER, Gabriel David 30, of Beavercreek, Ohio entered into his Savior's presence suddenly, Saturday, October 21, 2006. He was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin on November 5, 1975 the son of Robert I. and Roberta T. (Felix) Custer. Gabe was a graduate of Triad High School, North Lewisburg, OH, received his bachelor's degree form Cedarville University, and his MBA from Wright State University. He worked in Computer Services for Cedarville University for the past eight years. He will be remembered for his humble spirit, gentle demeanor, supportive nature and for being a loving husband and father. It was Gabe's ambition to be pleasing to his Lord, whether present in the body or present with Him. Survivors include his parents, Bob and Midge Custer of Woodstock, Ohio; wife, Katy (Lemmon) Custer; two sons, Samuel and Seth, both at home; a sister, Bobbi Myhree Custer of Woodstock; three brothers, Mick (Tammie) Custer of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, and Levi and Eric Custer of Woodstock. Also surviving are Katy's parents, David and Judy Lemmon of Springfield; Katy's brothers and sisters, Amy (Bob) Bowen of New York City, David (Jennifer) Lemmon of State College, Pennsylvania, James Lemmon of Columbus, Ohio, John (Jessica) Lemmon of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Jane (Steve) McGillivray of Beavercreek; paternal grandmother, Muriel Custer of Bloomer, Wisconsin; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the funeral service. A celebration of Gabe's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Jeremiah Chapel of Cedarville University with Pastor David Faile officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. A trust fund will be established in Samuel and Seth's name. The family asks that contributions be made to this in lieu of flowers. Our family spent many, many hours with Gab and the Custer family back when the children were younger. Bob and Midge raised Gabriel to be a strong man in the Lord! We were at his funeral and from all the comments from people he was a kind and loving man who served the Lord and was a light to all those around him!
Looking forward to a grand reunion in heaven!
