News Death Notice

SHAW, Hubert Ernest 81, of Winter Park, Florida and formerly of Springfield, passed away at 7:03 a.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010. He was born in Xenia, Ohio on October 22, 1928 the son of the late Clarence and Cora (Warden) Shaw. He was an exemplary and dependable husband, father and grandfather. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a safety engineer from NASA. Hubert was a faithful man after God's own heart and was ushered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into that certain heavenly country where there is no death, nor sorrow, nor pain, but rather the abiding and eternal love and light of the Lord. He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he kept the faith. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Elizabeth (Overman) Shaw; two sons, Michael (Debbie) Shaw and David Shaw; and two grandchildren, Trent and Corrie Shaw, all of the Orlando, Florida area. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Hubert's funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
