News Death Notice
REAM, Jerry W. 63 of Springfield, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 following several years of failing health. He was born July 11, 1952 to the late George and Mildred Ream. Jerry had retired from Navistar after 33 years of employment. He had been a member of the Knights of Pythias and had coached Northwestern wrestling, football, and baseball for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Megan Stone and a nephew, Kyle Ream. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lynne (Stone) Ream; four beloved children and their families, Scott and Sarah Ream and children, Chelsea, Taylor, Justin, and Levi; Matt and Angela Ream and son, Luke; Shawn Ream (Breanne Marshall) and children, Hannah, Kaleb, Shelton, and Steven; Carey and Millard Rife, Jr. and children Millard III and Madelyn; great - grandson, Xavier; brothers and sisters, Gary and Beverly Ream, Penny Jackson, Barb Stewart, Connie and Lon Aldredge, Bruce and Tammy Ream, Bryan and Debbie Ream, Judy Stone, and Paul and Donna Ream; one aunt, Faye (Ream) and Richard Smith; three special daughter-in-laws, Vicki Ream, Alichia Crawford, and Jamie Rigel; and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a party that will celebrate Jerry's life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at his son, Matt Ream's, home. Arrangements entrusted to the JONES - KENNEY - ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Lynn, Scott, Matt, Shawn and Carrie. I know this must be a difficult time but what a great way to celebrate Jerry's life with a hog roast!

So sorry to hear that Jerry has passed on. He was a nice guy when we went to school. When I seen Jerry he always spoke and smiled. I know Jerry went threw a lot may he rest in peace.
