News Death Notice

SHROYER, Kathryn I. 85, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Shope) Stewart. Kathryn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Walter H. Shroyer; son and daughter-in-law, Randall Dean and Georgia Ann Shroyer; daughter, Lorrie Jo Crabtree (Jim Long); grandchildren, Andrew L. Shroyer, Molly R. Morrison and Jennifer L. Newton; great-granddaughter, Mallory Shroyer; sister, Delores "Sus"; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Lester "Bud", Arden "Pete", Edward, Paul, Russell "Russ" and Alvin "Al"; and sisters, Mildred "Mim" and Thelma "Thel". Kathryn was a member of the Northside Church of God and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A celebration on Kathryn's life will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel with visitation from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Burial to follow services. Arrangements in care of JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME-Springfield. Condolences may be expressed to Kathryn's family at www.jacksonlytle.com.
