Kayla MONGOLD Obituary
News Death Notice
MONGOLD, Kayla Lynn 12, of Springfield died Sunday, June 24, 2012 as a result of a traffic accident. She was born July 7, 1999 in Springfield the daughter of Shon L. and Gloria J. (Holycross) Mongold. Kayla was about to become an 8th Grader at Hayward Middle School and was a member of Rubyville Community Church. She is survived by her mother Gloria Mongold and fiance' Curtis Clemons; her father Shon Mongold and fiance' Tonya Daniels; three brothers Cody, Justin and Shon M. Mongold; two step brothers Christopher and Steven Daniels; three step sisters Catlin Daniels, Miracle and Kayley Clemons, all of Springfield; grandparents Roger and Mary Mongold of Lucasville, Ohio and Charles Holycross of Amarillo, Texas; great grandmother Norma Rapp of Springfield; aunts Angie Boyd and Tina (Joseph) Lickliter; uncle Chris (Brenda) Mongold; her best friend Brianna Frantz and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Norma Holycross; uncle Marvin Lee Boyd and great uncle Tom Rapp. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Kayla's life will be Saturday at 10:30 AM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Donations to help with funeral expenses may be made in Kayla's name at any Wright-Patt Credit Union. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com

I miss you so much kayla you were and always will be one of my best friends no my sisters . I will never forget the time we spent together. You will always be in my heart and i know you will help me throught the hard times im ganna have in my life because that is who you are. You are one of the kindest people i know and you never give up on a friend or something you want because you just dust it of and try agin so i hope that is how you will be remember the girl with a wonderfull heart that shines her buity in and out who never gives up on any thing.
And to kaylas family and close friends she is a wonderfull young lady who is watching us all she was one of my greatest friend and i will treasure the time i spent with her stay stong in knowing she loved each and ever one of us weather we were close to her or not.

Kayla you were a very sweet, loving, caring person, you were always there when someone ask for you're help with anything and everything i know what you're parents, family, and friends are going through. when i seen you're body i was so upset you looked so beautiful and honestly it didnt even look like you..But as they say only the good die young..

We don't know your family personally, but we are so sad about the loss of this young life. Our son, a firefighter/paramedic , was one of the first ones on the scene and actually crawled under the car with Kayla. He was with her in her final minutes. He was so upset afterwards that he called his Dad and I crying because there was nothing he could do to help her. He is married to a teacher from Kayla's school and has 2 little boys of his own. I, like many others have never had the opportunity to meet Kayla in person. But, I am just heartbroken by this tragedy. I can not even begin to feel the pain you are feeling right now. I drove past the memorial yesterday with my little boy in the car (8 years old) and he asked me, "Mommy, why are all those stuffed animals by the side of the road?" When I explained to him what had happened, he began to cry. He bowed his head right then and there and said a prayer for your entire family as I know many others have done. I have also been praying for you. Please know that we will continue to pray for you all through this time of sorrow and saddness.

I do not know your family,but my heart is broken. i have a spot in my heart that i know is there just for children. They are a gift from God and i love them all.
