Matthew Morgan Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

MORGAN, Matthew Lee Born February 9, 1993, in Springfield, Ohio, Matthew Lee Morgan, 12, of Medway, Ohio was fatally injured in a car accident on July 6, 2005. His family rejoiced in his birth and now mourns their loss. An only child, Matt embraced life and even though his time was with us was short; he was filled with boundless energy that ensured his touch and memory will forever be etched in those who knew him. He loved playing soccer with his friends and was so filled with team pride, that he loved wearing his team jerseys as quickly as his mom could wash them. Many of his happiest hours were spent with friends playing video games. He just couldn't wait until school was out for the summer, so he could spend more time playing with Candi, his new puppy. Matt was a quiet child until you got to know him, but once you did, his personality would always keep you on your toes. He loved to laugh and was quite a little joker. He had such a passion for reading and as a budding artist; he would frequently draw some of the characters from the pages of his books. God had something special in mind for him and called upon Matt to stand beside him as an angel in heaven, to look down and watch over his loved ones. Surviving are his parents, Richard and Sharon Morgan, grandparents, Danny and Darlene Cassidy, Richard and Pam (Linville) Morgan, his great-grandmothers, Melba Wintrow, Robbie Lemon, aunts and uncles, Shellie and Mike Woods, Jennifer and Chris Adams, Angie and Joe Yukon and six cousins, Jake, Allie, Gunner, Audrey, Joseph and Abigail. He was predeceased by his great-grandfathers, Ralph Wintrow and Jack Lemon. A Funeral Service will be held 12 pm Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the Lake Avenue Christian Church, 1101 West Lake Avenue, New Carlisle, Ohio. Minister Randy Warner officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church 10 am until the time of service. Interment will immediately follow at New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matt's family. Called too soon to the gates of heaven, but not forgotten by those he left behind. The death of one diminishes us all.

Your family is in our prays. Our son, Nathan played and went to school with Matthew and is sorrowed by the loss. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew at several school functions when we volunteered. We hope your husband is recovering well. We can't even imagine the pain you are feeling, but remember Matthew is watching and is in a better place (beside god). Even though his time on earth was short, he touched alot of hearts and will never be forgotten.

May God be with you on this very tragic day.
