News Death Notice

PAYNE, Phyllis Ann 71, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born September 26, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Henry and Marcella Lawson. She was a member of Restored Life Ministries. Phyllis retired after 36 years from Cooper Energy. She is survived by Craig Payne, her loving and devoted husband of 36 years. She is also survived by her sons Daniel Rowe of California Vincent (Stephanie) Rowe of Springfield, Rondal (Meredith) Rowe of Reynoldsburg Ohio, her mother's childern whom she reared, Karen Lawson of Galloway, Ohio, Max (Sharon) Lawson of Springfield,and Kay (William) Embry of Snellville. Georgia, and sister Carolyn Williams of Dayton, Ohio, stepchildren Debbie, Rickina (Lamburg), Craig Jr., Keith, Kevin, and Darrell Payne. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren whom she adored, a special granddaughter Kenya Rowe and a granddaughter Fariah Walker with a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her son,Theodore Higgins ( Slanky), her sisters Marceline Long, Geraldine Carpenter, Sandra Lawson, and brother William Lawson. Services will be held at Restored Life Ministries with Reverend Coleman officiating, Friday, August 17, 2012. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:30p.m. Arrangements by GOINGS MEMORIAL CHAPEL
