My thoughts and prayers go out the Clark family at this time. I was lucky enough to share in Randy's life for two years as a teammate with Randy on the WBLY baseball team in Springfield, Ohio. I remember Randy as a terrific pitcher with a tremendous personality and zest for life. He loved to make people laugh with his jokes and stories and that big smile could light up a room! My favorite story about Randy was the time when I rode with his family to Toronto for a tournament and on the way up, everyone's luggage came loose from the luggage rack and got lost on the highway. Everyone's with the exception of mine. I remember teasing Randy that he could where my uniform and borrow my clothes, keep in mind, I was 5'8 and 135 lbs and Randy was 6'4 220lbs. When we arrived in Toronto, I was in a gift shop across the street from the hotel and who do I see, its Randy in what appeared to be a cut off shirt. I went up to him and saw him in the shirt and he just looked at me and started laughing. I had no idea that he gotten into my luggage and took one of my shirts and was wearing it around as a prank for the harassment that I gave him on the way. That look on his face was priceless and I will never forget it. What a terrific teammate and friend he was, and he had some special days on the mound! Randy, you will be missed and your great spirit will live in all of us.

My condolences and deepest sympathies to Mr. And Mrs. Clark, the Clark Family and all of the people that had the opportunity to share in Randy’s life. I had the opportunity to share two summers with Randy while playing baseball for WBLY in Springfield, Ohio. Randy was a great teammate, but was an even greater person to be around. Randy earned the nickname “The Junkyard Dog” after a spectacular performance at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on a day in which he was untouchable, all the while constantly barking as the opposition sent dejected batter after dejected batter to the plate. Upon hearing of Randy’s passing today, I felt compelled to say Goodbye to an old friend and just wanted to say thank you “Dog” for the wonderfully vivid memories from those summers long ago. May God Bless both you and your family. You will be greatly missed.

I was never aware Randy was sick. I just found out of his passing this evening. I'm very sorry to all of you for your loss. I know how close you were all to him. Family meant the world to Randy. I ran into Randy several times at basketball functions and he never told me he was sick.
I guess I am still in shock. I went to school with Randy ever since I can remember. Randy was always a great listener. I just feel terrible that I could not have prayed with him. I know he is a child of God and we were just blessed to know him here on earth. We will all be re-united once again. Meanwhile, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
May god touch each one of you!

Randy will truly be missed by so many people. I was one of Randy's Home Health Care nurses the last two years and what a loving person he was. He always smiled even through his strife. Eddie and Elwin, you are awesome brothers to have taken care of him for so long. Mr and Mrs Clark and Twyla, what a blessing it has been sharing time with you and Randy. Thank-you for the opportunity and experience you gave me with Randy. He is dancing with the angels!!

I want you to know that I cared for Randy in the summer of 2005 as his homecare nurse for a vacationing nurse and would like your family to know that even though he only touched my life briefly, I learned what a wonderful family Randy grew up in. May you always know that you were a great support to Randy as he told me in the middle of the night while caring for him. Melissa, he cared greatly for you and your daughter as he expressed to me for only the short time I cared for him. I witnessed the kind and sweetness of Randy's family as I witnessed the surrounding love in his parents, siblings and wife and daughter. May you know of my sympathies to all of you at this difficult time. Cheryl Fleck RN (Maxim Health Care Dayton, Ohio)
