News Death Notice
BROWN, Shantel RaShaun 28, of Springfield Ohio departed her life January 19, 2015 peacefully in her mother's home. She was born on March 19, 1986 to parents, Lizzie Brown (Vince "Bo" Burns) and father, Darryl Arnold. She leaves to cherish her memory a 2 month old son, Nehemiah Brown; siblings, Rashauna (Shauna) Arnold and Derrick (DJ) Montgomery Jr.; two nephews, Jaydan Scott and Drayden Montgomery; a niece, Londynn Holder; three aunts, Chrisiell (Ricky) Stinnett from Charolette, NC, Shirlene Brown and Jackie (Robert Robinson) Brown; an uncle Ralph (Lavonna) Brown, Jr. of Columbus, OH; maternal grandmother, Shirley Brown; godmother, Doris Elder; a host of cousins, special friends and a special father figure, Don Bates. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ralph W. Brown, Sr. and a niece, Dallas Ricky-Skye Montgomery. Homegoing will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 1171 S. Yellow Springs Street Springfield, Ohio. Viewing will be from 5 pm until the time of service at 6 p.m. Interment will be Tuesday, January 27 2015 at 10 a.m. Ferncliff Cemetery Springfield Ohio. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

To the family and friends of Shantel I was unable to attend the services for her home going services but I want you to know that I was praying with you all and for you. You all may have called her Shantel but as long as I knew her I always called her Princess. I pray the peace of God surrounds you in a way that only the heavens can explain. I am continuously praying for your strength.

Telly Belly as my daughter called Shantel, was sent her by God to show us so much. She touched me so many times in my time of need, to a simple reminder of what a mom I was, when I came to get my children after 10 hours of work, to a simple note on social media, of "girl your crazy"....I will never forget the mothering she did for my children when I had to be at work. I am forever thankful that our Lord sent her to me and my children.
I am so sorry for the loss of Telly Belly....may she watch over everyone of us...
