News Death Notice

McCLANAHAN, Steven L. 45, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. He was born February 1, 1966 in Springfield, the son of Dwight and Linda (Decker) McClanahan. Survivors include his parents, three children; Josh (Sarah) McClanahan, Springfield, Megan McClanahan, Ashland, Kentucky, Amanda McClanahan, Urbana, the Mother of his children; Belinda McClanahan, Urbana, four grandchildren; Dylan and Jordan McClanahan, Madison Brown, Brooklyn Jacks, brother; David McClanahan, sisters; Lori Robbins and Shannon Elkins all of Springfield and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandson; Peyton Hunter Gillespie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stevens family.

There were various reasons of why me and steve couldn't spend our life together but he was always in my heart. He gave me three beautiful children and for that I will forever be grateful. The McClanahan family will always be a part of my family,(Linda,Dwight,David,Lori and Shannon), I love you all! Steve is no longer suffering and he is in a better place. RIP Steve

I will miss my cousin Stevie growing up and be so close to my Uncle Dwight & Aunt Linda ,David ,Lori & Shannon.
