News Death Notice
RUBY, Tamara Marie age 15 of South Charleston, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on Friday, March 9, 2012. She was born October 7, 1996 in Springfield. She is the daughter of Andrew & Tracy (Scarberry) Ruby. Tamara was welcomed into Heaven by grandfathers Richard D. Rollins, Sr. & Fred L. Ruby, and great aunt Becky Bame. Survived by her parents, 2 loving sisters Taylor & Talena, grandparents Martha Rollins of South Charleston, David & Joyce Scarberry of Pitchin, and Vanessa Garman of Springfield. Aunts and Uncles Joe & Angie (Ruby) Frost of Springfield, Amy Williams of South Charleston, John Williams of Mechanicsburg, and Nickki Garman of Statesboro, GA. Cousins Joseph Frost of South Charleston, and Jesse Frost of Springfield, Kyle & Cameron Williams of South Charleston, Kalin & Arnie Scarberry and Zach Campbell of Springfield, and numerous other great aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her one and only love Zach Welch. Tamara was a freshman at Southeastern High School, was a active member of the bowling team. She also enjoyed softball, basketball, four wheeling, and fishing. Tamara was fun loving, carefree, and an excellent student and will be greatly missed by all of us that were luck enough to have her in our lives. Love you much, Rest in Peace baby girl. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.

I am so sorry about the loss of your daughter. I remember you showing me pictures of your girls in algebra class. I know how proud you are of them and how much you love them. Please know that I am here if you ever need to talk. I will lift your family up in prayer. I do not have children and do not know how you feel in that aspect; however, I know losing a loved one is very hard and it will take time. There will not be a day go by, you will not think about Tamara. Please know that God will strengthen and comfort you. All you can do is take one day at a time and keep going on. I was so sorry to learn of Tamara's death. She was one of our favorite patients and we always looked forward to seeing her in the office. She was always so upbeat and happy and had such a beautiful smile. We were reminiscing about Tamara in the office yesterday when Teresa reminded me of something Tamara had said a number of years ago. Teresa asked Tamara what her favorite Christmas present was that year and Tamara answered without hesitation "my mom's new lungs". She loved you all so very much and will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was such a breath of fresh air in these troubled times. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

I did not know Tamara, but I saw the love she shared with her parents and family. I was one of the case managers in the ER when Tamara was there. I am so sorry for your loss and cannot even begin to know your loss. I have 2 daughters of my own. I went home that night and prayed for yours and mine. May God heal.

Tracy, Joyce and Family you have my heartfelt sympathy, it was a great shock to us all (at work/exel). My prayers and love are with you and your family.
