I extend my sympathies to the Elliot family. Dr. Elliott and my Dad, Richard Ransbottom, owned an airplane together. Dad really enjoyed that part of his life. On a Sunday in the winter of 1963-64, Dr. Elliott and Dad flew to Purdue University to eat dinner in the dormitory dining room. This particular set of dorms were the last waiter-served dorm meals in the Big Ten (at least, that was what I was told). We sat at a table for twelve. Dr. Elliott and Dad enjoyed themselves sharing a meal with ten young women, and we laughed and enjoyed their company also. Dr. Elliott removed my wisdom teeth Thanksgiving of my college sophomore year. It seemed poor timing when I consumed my dinner through a straw. Dad enjoyed Spud's company and their time spent with the plane.
Again accept my sympathies in your loss.
Sincerely, Jo Ellen Ransbottom Furbee

Dr. Elliott was a friend of my grandfather, Dr. D.V. Garrison, DMD of Xenia. All of our family members who needed oral surgery were treated by Dr. Elliott---siblings, cousins, everyone! Our family thought the world of him. When I was a young girl, my grandparents and I went flying with him---I will never forget that. He will be missed. My condolences to his family, friends, and patients.

I was so blessed to know such a wonderful grandpa and man for 23 years -- I will never forget his humor, kindness, and certainly not his individuality :) Brett and I know that he will now be with us next month as we celebrate our marriage, and will remember the time we both spent with him with fondness. I love my "Grandpa Bear" and know he will still bring us laughter and great memories for years to come.

Spud Elliott was certainly a special friend to me, my wife, Pat, and to Cedarville University. I have fond memories of the special times we shared together over meals and at numerous plays, concerts, and commencements at Cedarville. On one occasion he went with me when I was the chapel speaker for the Cincinnati Reds. He appeared to take great satisfaction from that event.
His generosity to our Cedarville scholarship program over the years has been much appreciated. Again, he seemed to take great satisfaction in investing in the lives of our students. He loved young people.
Pat and I extend our deepest condolences to all the family members.

I enjoyed Dr. Elliott's sense of humor. He was a kind man, enjoyed golf and had many good friends at The Springfield C.C. He used to visit and play golf at the clubs that I worked at. I will miss him.

We are saddened by Dr. Elliot's death and extend our sympathy to the family. We appreciated Dr. Elliott's dental surgery services to our family as well as our years of golfing companionship.
