News Death Notice

WHALEY, William H. "BILL" 96, of Medway, Ohio passed away Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Ohio Masonic Home. He was born August 23, 1915 in Jackson County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Thomas & Hattie (Vernon) Whaley. Bill retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1971 after 35 years in Civil Service. He is survived by one daughter, April (Jack) Pyles of Arcanum, Ohio; two sons, John Whaley of Fairborn, Ohio, Bruce & Sandy Whaley, Sr. of Jamestown, Ohio. Bill had three grandchildren; Sonya Whaley of Jamestown, Bruce (Tonya) Whaley, Jr. of Fairborn, Ohio, and Suzanne Whaley of Dayton, Ohio. He also had 3 great grandchildren, Aliea and Emalee Whaley of Fairborn, Ohio and Krystal Whaley of Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Hazel Whaley; two sisters, Ruth & Alice of Jackson, Ohio before the death of Hazel They spent all there time traveling to Florida in the winter months. Bill was a lifetime member of the New Carlisle Lodge #100 F.&A.M., Palestine #33 Commandery of Springfield, Ohio and 32 degree Mason of the Valley of Dayton, AASR Masonic & Commandery services. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday December 6, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Medway Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com
