I was so very fortunate to work with Don while we were both working with OSAM. He was so kind and sharing allowing me to use his accrued knowledge as an unofficial mentor. I learned so much more about progressing from a well experienced spectrum manager to a focused researcher than I could have imagined. I have missed him since I moved out of the area at my retirement and will always hold dear my memories of times under Don´s wing and just spending time as friends.

Don and Charlotte were our dear next-door neighbors on Edgepark Road for more than a decade. Warm and welcoming, Don was a cheerful presence and he and Charlotte were always friendly and kind to our family. My most sincere condolences to Charlotte and the rest of his family.

I met Don in 1998 working in Office of Spectrum Management, Hoffman bldg, Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria Va. He was a pleasure to work with. I am sorry to hear that he passed away. We will miss him joining our 'motley spectrum crew' at lunches in downtown D.C. It was always good to see him. I send my heartfelt condolences to Charlotte, Michael, Nina and Kathryn.
