Jean Grimaldi Obituary

Jean Frances Grimaldi
Jean Frances Grimaldi, 83, also known as Jeanne, passed away after a 10-month battle with cancer, on December 24, 2020 at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Guy Grimaldi, whom she was married to for 57 years before he passed away from natural causes in 2014.
Born July 12, 1937, Jeanne was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut and enjoyed living there until she and her husband retired to Boynton Beach in 1989. Everyone who knew Jeanne loved her. She will be greatly missed for how excitedly she connected people, created community spirit and put together amazing dinners, parties and events for her loved ones, neighbors and strangers alike, who she always welcomed into her home. Jeanne will be eternally remembered by her family and lifelong friends, who she considered extended family.
Jeanne is survived by her two children: her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Hofferman of Milford, Connecticut and her son and son-in-law, Larry Grimaldi and Bayan Laird of Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra Lee Burdick of Calabash, North Carolina and a brother Thomas Angelo of Shelton, Connecticut, as well as several nieces and nephews and too many cousins to name but all of whom she loved dearly. Jeanne was also predeceased by her parents, Maude and Lawrence Angelo, her father, Frank Vitale, and her sister, Nancy Russo.
A service of Christian burial will be celebrated on January 11, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
