I remember Jeffery so well. I too was a member of the 1963 Rippowam graduating class and remember attending the basketball games just to watch Jeffery play. Had a mad crush on him which was my little secret of course. Not surprised he accomplished so much in his life. He was full of life and had that magic spark to make things happen. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Coach O'Connell was an inspiration to me as a young player. His belief in me and guidance helped sustain me as as I began to make my way in the world.
I am better for having played for him. His guidance and leadership helped prepare me for the world. I am forever grateful.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I´m very sorry to hear about Jeff. I grew up at 485 High Ridge Rd, a few houses away from where Jeff grew up. As kids I enjoyed playing basketball and baseball with him. He was several years older than me but was always good to me and allowed me to be a part of any game. He was an excellent athlete and certainly helped me to develop and learn how to love sports. I often think about those days with very fond memories of Jeff playing sandlot baseball, basketball and football and watching him play at Rippowam in their first season of basketball.
A good kid and man.

Jeff was a tremendous athlete but an even better person. There was no obstacle he couldn't conquer. Full of energy and wisdom, he was definitely one of the very best personable humans on the face of the earth. You will be sorely be missed old friend. Rest in peace brother!

Coach had a profound impact on my life as a mentor and a brother. I spent countless hours in my 20s listening to this beautiful man share his knowledge about everything from basketball to life. There was tremendous wisdom for anyone that would take the time to listen. Thank you, Coach. I, like many others, would not be where I am today without your guidance.
