Rene Villard Obituary
Rene Villard was born on October 8, 1962, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend was called home on August 11, 2022.
Rene is survived by his wife, Alexandra Villard; and his three children, Kimberly, Kenneth, and Kendra; whom he adored.
Rene Villard was the son of Emmanuel and Eunice Villard. He immigrated to United States with his family as a young man in 1983 from Haiti. Rene resided in Brooklyn, NY for a short time before moving to Stamford, CT in 1985 where he has lived ever since. He is survived by his 8 brothers and sisters: Jean, Pierre-Marie, Ronald, Johny and Johnson, Marie Helene, Nicole and Esther. Additionally, he leaves behind 18 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nephews and nieces, sister and brother-in-laws, countless cousins, and myriads of friends. Rene is preceded in death by his father, Emmanuel Villard; his mother, Eunice Villard; and his brother, Yvon Villard.
He began his career in Drafting. In his last professional role, he worked as a Security Consultant. He also owned and managed a multi-family investment property.
On June 15, 2009, Rene was involved in a tragic accident which was concluded to be a hit and run by a drunk driver. He sustained major brain injuries and was left disabled and under the care of his wife.
Rene had a contagious sense of humor. He was hardworking, an entrepreneur, and athletic. He is often described as a Renaissance man; because he had the uncanny ability to cook, care for kids, run a business, and paint a house all in one day!
Rene will always have a special place in our hearts and we're eternally blessed to have had him our lives.
His family welcomes relatives and friends for a funeral service Today at 10 AM, Thursday, August 18th at Stamford Baptist Church, 602 High Ridge Road, in Stamford. His interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place in Stamford.
