Jerome Gallagher Obituary
Jerome "Jerry" L. Gallagher Jr., 72, passed away Saturday at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazle Twp. He was born and raised in Hazleton and was the son of the late Jerome L. and Gertrude (Boyle) Gallagher.
He graduated from St. Gabriel's High School where he excelled at basketball and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Maryland Institute College of Art. He enjoyed a long career as a fine artist.
He is survived by sisters Rosemary McFee and husband John, and Anne Woelfel and husband Eric; brothers Thomas and James and wife Denise; nephews Patrick, Billy and Jonathan; nieces Holly, Amy, Jennifer and Erin; and several great niecesand nephews.
A private memorial service for Jerry will be held by his family at a later date.
