Joseph Okrasinski Obituary

Joseph Okrasinski, 64, of Freeland, went to Heaven Tuesday at his home with his wife by his side after a short fight with heart disease and cancer.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Leon J. and Catherine (Gresh) Okrasinski.

Joe was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was employed by Citterio USA.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister, Julieann Okrasinski.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Patrice Palko; sisters, Maryann Vine, Elizabeth "Betsy" Ackers; brothers-in-law, Joseph Palko Sr.; Richard and husband, George Piazzi; Gerald Palko; sister-in-law, Barbara Palko; nieces, Jessica Boyle and Shawna Marchetti; nephews, Chris and Fred Ackers; Matthew Vine; David Bench; and Kevin and Joseph Palko Jr.; numerous cousins, friends and extended family; and his dog who was always by his side, Gracie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 898 Centre St., Freeland.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow in Ss. Peter and Paul EGC Cemetery, Freeland.

McNulty Funeral Home, 494 E. Butler Drive, Freeland, is in charge of arrangements.

Heartfelt thanks to all who helped during his illness. Your love and support meant more than you know.
