Mary Bayless Obituary
Mary Louise Bayless, 94, passed away peacefully in Atlanta, Ga., March 2.
She was formerly from Hazleton, born Sept. 18, 1927. She graduated from Hazleton High School, 1945, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Goucher College, Towson, Md., in 1949.
She was the daughter of the late George M. Steckert and Mary (Cuzzo) Steckert. Mary Louise was married to attorney Kenneth R. Bayless (deceased).
She is survived by her three children, George Bayless (Lily Ary), Houston, Texas; Mollie Korski (Robert), Decatur, Ga.; and John Bayless (Jan), Harrisburg; and her three loving granddaughters, Rachel Bayless Rossetti; Chelsea Louise Korski; and Allyson Bayless.
As a long-time resident of Hazleton, she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a member of AAUW, YWCA and served with the Meals on Wheels of NEPA and the American Cancer Society.
A private family service and interment will be handled by Mountain View Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials be made to a charity of one's choice.

Dear George, Mollie and John, I'm so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I relocated to The Villages in FL, but still have many friends in Hazleton that informed me of Mary Louise's death. We exchanged Christmas cards and notes for many years until she relocated to GA. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
