Robert John Correll, 58, of Freeland passed away at his home Thursday after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Freeland, he was the son of the late Robert and Clare (O'Donnell) Correll.
Bob was a graduate of Freeland High School. Afterward, he served in the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge, he spent most of his career in the flooring installation business.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert; twin brother, John; and sister, Mary Webb.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Courtney; and siblings, Eileen Antosh; Michele (Marty) Kimmel; Michael (Theresa) Correll; Cathy (Bob) Penkala; and Chris Correll (Donna). Also surviving are grandchildren, Scarlette, Axel and Isabella; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. March 26 in Immaculate Conception Church, Freeland, with the Rev. Michael Kloton officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church prior to the Mass. Interment will be private at St. Ann's Cemetery, Freeland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob's honor to Residential Health Care of NEPA, 601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph B. Conahan Funeral Home Inc., 532 N. Vine St., Hazleton.
