Sadie Lilyanna Burger, 6 weeks, of Freeland, passed away early Thursday morning in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on Aug. 23, 2023, she was the precious daughter of Joshua Scott and Brittany Miangela (Duncan) Burger, Freeland.
Sadie, our little "Sadie-adie," as we would call her sometimes, was such an amazing, precious, gorgeous blessing. She had the most beautiful smile that would light up the whole room. She loved getting kisses on her little cheeks, and then smiled after. She loved mommy's milk, the little milk monster! She absolutely loved getting tubby time, her favorite time, then snuggling with mommy after to sleep, it relaxed her so much. She just started to love looking at all the lights in her swing, and recognizing daddy and her brother and sisters voices. Sissy would sing her favorite song "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine," it would settle her whenever she cried. A pure soul gone way too soon, such a happy go lucky girl.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gregory Duncan.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her three siblings, Ryker, Laila and Nova Burger, at home; paternal grandfather, Daniel Burger, Drums; paternal grandmother, Jill Marie Burger-Marsicano and her husband, Dominic Marsicano, Weatherly; maternal grandmother, Diana Myers, Jim Thorpe; paternal great-grandfather, Donald Harding, Palmerton; maternal great-grandmother, Debra Williams, White Haven, and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, with her family sharing memories of Sadie at 8 p.m.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
