Alexander A. Sokolowski

Alexander A. Age 83, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006. He was born in Pittsburg, PA to the late Boleslaus and Philomena (Szury) Sokolowski. Alexander was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Sokolowski in 1993 and his brothers, Adam and Edward. Survivors include his sons, Thomas (Nancy), Gary and Timothy all of Elmira and Charles (Winnie) of Hurley, NY; grandchildren, Thomas Alan II of FL, Jessica and Emily of Bath, NY, Brittany, Christopher and Elizabeth all of Hurley, NY; sister, Helen Snyder of Marion, NY and family; sister-in-law, Pauline Ski of Watkins Glen and family; special nephew, Richard (Gladys) Sokolowski of Horseheads; along with many nieces, nephews cousins and in-laws. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, December 17th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A prayer service will take place there on Monday, December 18th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter & Paul Church with Rev. Walter Wainwright as celebrant. Interment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
