Anthony Derito Obituary
Age 75, of Campbell, NY, formerly of Elmira, NY, died on Monday June 24, 2013. Friends may call at the BAKER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME ON MONDAY, JULY 1, FROM 10:00 AM TO 12:00 NOON WITH FUNERAL SERVICES AT THE CONCLUSION OF CALLING HOURS. Rev. John De Socio officiating. Interment of Anthony's ashes will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery Elmira. Anthony is survived by brothers Nicholas C. (Pamela) Derito, Joseph M. (Mary Bauer) Derito, sister Marianne Derito, all of Elmira, nephew Michael J. Derito, niece Nicola Derito and grand niece Madison Isabella Derito and an aunt Grace D'Aloisio, friends Donald A. (Beverly) Javert, Robert J. Misura, Michael C. Pucci, all of Corning, NY, Mary Ellen Grist of Addison, NY. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Julia A. Derito, sister-in-law Marie "Leonie" Derito, aunts and uncles Allie & Mary Quatrano, Fred D'Aloisio, Michael (Trixie) De Socio. Anthony was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Marconi Lodge of Corning #154 the Order Sons of Italy in America, American Flint Glass Workers Union-National Officer Local 1000 A.F.G.W.U.-Local Officer and Benefits Officer all since 1965. Anthony graduated from Southside High School in 1956, Certificate in Labor Studies and Advance Labor Studies from Cornell University and retired from Corning Inc. as an Experiment Process Evaluator and Supervisory Assistant at the Process Research Center.

Tony was a Leader and always led me in the right direction. Tony was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone. Tony had great knowledge in business, and many other things. Anything Tony was ever involved in he give 100%. Tony was Very dedicated to his work and progress. I learned a lot from Tony and will never forget the help Tony give me to move forward and progress. Tony will be in my thoughts forever. One last time Tony, thank you for all you taught me and our wonderful friendship. RIP

I am so sorry about AJ. We were close friends years ago. I will not be able to attend any services because, I am surviving double knee surgery. God bless all, Lord have mercy of his soul.
