Chris Davenport Obituary

Chris George Omar Age 38 of #145 East Main Street, Knoxville, PA, Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. He was born April 12, 1964 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of George and Dorotha Rice Davenport. He was currently employed by Edger Enterprises, Elmira Heights, NY, as a site superintendent and heavy equipment operator. He was the president of the Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Company and the Third Assistant Chief. He was an E.M.T. with the Valley Community Ambulance Assn. He was a member of the Mane Tamer Pool Team, the Knoxville Boro Council and Elkland Moose Lodge #746. Chris loved to hunt and he participated in a number of sports activities during his life time. Survived by wife: Denise Davenport; son, Brian Anthony Davenport, Cowanesque, PA; step-son, James Cady, Wellsboro, PA; parents, George & Dorotha Davenport, Elkland, PA grandparents, George & Vera Davenport, Tonawanda, NY; sister & brother-in-law, Linda Davenport VanGorden & Steve VanGorden, Elkland, PA; several aunts, uncles & cousins. girlfriend Caryn Ribble, Harrison Valley, PA; special friends the brothers of the Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Company. Friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc, 214 West Main Street, Elkland, PA, Saturday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Parkhurst Memorial Presbyterian Church, Elkland, PA with the Rev. William Lusk officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Co.
