Elmer Schwab Obituary

SCHWAB Elmer C.
Age 98 of 330 Noble Street Elmira, New York passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2007. Mr. Schwab was born on August 14, 1908 in Germania, PA a twin son of the late Godfred and Elizabeth Stahli Schwab. He was also pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters including his twin brother Clyde Schwab who passed away on May 22, 2002. Elmer was a veteran of WW II serving his country with the US Army. He married his wife Catherine Crooker Schwab on September 1, 1956 and they would have celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary on September 1, 2007. Mr. Schwab was a retired deliveryman for Hygeia Ice Cream Company in Elmira, NY. Mr. Schwab is survived by his loving and devoted wife Catherine Crooker Schwab; daughter and son-in-law: JoAnn Schwab & James Vanderpoel of Horseheads, NY; brother and sister-in-law: Arthur & Catherine Schwab of Fair Oaks, CA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Lynch Funeral Home 318 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY on Friday (Today) May 11, 2007 from 1-4 PM. Mr. Schwab's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4 PM with the Rev. Lew Baker officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Schwab following his services at the funeral home. Interment in Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin, New York at the convenience of the family.
