Harry Domineske Obituary
Elmira: Age 83, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Harry was a son of the late Stanley and Rena (Losinger) Domineske. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Zuchowski) Domineske on May 3, 2008. Harry was also predeceased by his brother Frank. He is survived by his children, Harry Domineske Jr., Jerome Domineske with wife Cathy, Debbie Deming with husband Mark, all of Elmira, Don Domineske with wife Pamela of Hector NY; grandchildren, H.R., Kelli, Amanda, Tiffany, Eric, Jennifer, Jaime, and Ashley; great grandchildren, MaKena, Nolan, Jordon, Nykolas, Elias and Jett. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and served in Germany at the end of the war. Harry had worked as a machinist at Bendix in Elmira Heights for 35 years. He was a member of the Elmira Heights American Legion Post #154. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman, traits that have been passed down to his three sons. He was a longtime communicant of St. Casimir's Church. Harry's greatest joy was time spent with his family. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, 1316 College Ave., Ste. 2, Elmira, NY 14901 in Harry's memory.

Harry, Don, Jerome, and all of the Domineske family,
I am so sorry to read of your Dads passing. Both your parents were the best! I am sure he is very happy again to be with your Mom. He was such a nice man,he loved his family and made everyone feel like family,he always had a beer to offer and he made the best horseradish in the world! He will be missed by all that knew him and will be forever in your hearts and memories, and the people that knew him too. My thought and prayers are with all of you.

My sweet cousins,
Oh, how Uncle Harry will be missed. What a wonderful husband, father and uncle he was. Coming to our house and putting a chair in front of the door to know that he had been there when we were not is one of my memories. Love you all, take care.
