John Misnick Obituary
Age 86, of Elmira, NY passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital. His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Church, 140 Horseheads Blvd., Elmira Heights. Rev. Jason Kappanadze will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember John through donations to the charity of ones choice.

Brother John has taught me how to drive an automobile at the age of 16. I never had an accident but may have caused a few. You will be greatly missed now and forever. We always had good times together when I came to Elmira to visit.

To those who loved John Misnick as a brother, uncle or friend. Uncle John will be missed at the family reunions where he always brought the cake and his cup full of change to play cards. To all the family and friends. John will be truly missed. Over the years, he has been a mentor, friend and an uncle that I respected. He loved playing cards with the family at our yearly reunion and always brought a cake!! I will always remember the date that John passed, the 13th was my birthday. I will not be able to attend the services, I'm currently in Florida.
