Joseph Keeton Obituary

Joseph M. Of Elmira, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2004. Joe was a compassionate and very intelligent individual. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gaylord and Mary Keeton; his maternal grandparents, Walter J. and Fanny M. Callahan; his father, Phillip F. Keeton; and his stepfather, Roy W. Dimmick. Joseph is survived by his mother, Anne Callahan Keeton Dimmick of Horseheads, NY; brothers, James F. Keeton of Rock Stream, NY, John W. Keeton with wife, Cherith of Geneva, NY, and Msgt. Jerry Keeton with wife, Kristina of Biloxi, MS; sisters, Susan M. Miller with husband, Larry of West Palm Beach, FL, and Lt. Col. Lisa Jacques with husband, Jerry of Arlington, VA. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Jason P. Miller of Tampa, FL, Forrest, Maeve and Marshall Keeton of Geneva, NY, and Morgan Lee, Eva and Grace Keeton of Biloxi, MI; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. Joseph attended Alfred University and the University of Arizona at Tempe and loved to travel throughout the West and Northwest. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. James Lesch officiating. Those wishing to remember Joseph may do so through memorial contributions to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 945 County Route 64, Elmira, NY 14903 . The Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls, NY, is assisting the family.
