JUNE F. MAY Age 88 of Elmira, NY passed away on Saturday November 25, 2017 at Bethany Manor. June was born January 29, 1929 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Wood Frawley. She was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School Class of 1946 and from the St. Joseph's School of Nursing Class of 1949. June married her husband Robert A. May on August 25, 1951 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Elmira Heights, NY and they recently celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and loved being in the Nursery and she also worked for Dr. Joseph Valicenti in his private practice. June was also the Supervisor of Homemaker Services at the Chemung County Health Dept. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo in Elmira Heights, NY. June was pre-deceased by her brother and sister-in-law: Francis and Janice Frawley; sisters and brother-in-law: Rosemary and James Bores, and SueAnn Stuart; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Gary L. and Rosemarie May. June loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Mrs. May is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert A. May; daughter and son-in-law: Nan May Simonetti and Randal Simonetti of Fairport, NY; grandchildren: Camille Simonetti and Conner Simonetti; sister-in-law: Gloria Reddon ; brother-in-law: Richard Stuart ; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday December 1, 2017 from 4-7PM. Mrs. May's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7PM with Deacon Al Pacete officiating. June will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY on Saturday December 2 , 2017 at 10 AM.
