Kenneth Baldassarre Obituary
Cortland - Kenneth R. Baldassarre, 80, formerly of Cortland, passed away November 8, 2018 at Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls. He was born December 29, 1937 in Cortland the son of the late Kenneth J. and Elsie Kirkendall Baldassarre.
Ken lived the majority of his life in Cortland prior to moving to Cayuta. While in Cortland he had been employed with Champion Sheet Metal, Smith Corona, Agway and most recently at Borg Warner retiring in 2000. His memberships included the Cortland Elk's Lodge, Cortland Moose Club, and Cortland Eagle's. In his spare time he was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 25 yrs Annabelle Baldassarre, his children David (Vickie) Baldassarre, Kim (Tom) Vancise, Nicholas Baldassarre Sr., his sister Dolores Bush, step children Raymond Manning, Jackie Maynard, Kathy (Sid) Dense, Steven (Bonnie) Manning, Debra (Rusty) VanZile, Judi (Richard) Clark, Mark Manning, his grandchildren David Baldassarre, Caitlyn Baldassarre, Daniel (Wesley Tucker) Vancise, Sara (Joshua) Nicholas, Nicholas Baldassarre Jr. and Michael Baldassarre, great grandchildren Cali Marie Baldassarre and Andre Michael Baldassarre, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Vincent and Thomas, step son in law Carlie Maynard, and grandson Joseph Vancise.
Calling hours will be Monday 4-7 pm at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 am at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Burial will at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829 Arlington, VA 22215 or "Schuyler Hospital Foundation", 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls NY, 14865.
