Kevin Willis Obituary
Kevin Willis 52, of Hector, and formerly of Auburn died Sunday March 10, 2013 at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls. Born January 5, 1961 in Auburn, Kevin was the son the late Howard and Patricia Bagley Willis. He was a graduate of Port Byron High School and attended Cayuga Community College. Kevin was presently employed at Elmira Correctional Facility as a Lieutenant. At the time of his death he had been employed with the New York State Department of Corrections for almost 30 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the time spent riding his motorcycle. While in the Auburn area, he had been a member of the Throop Fire Department. Kevin is survived by his daughter, Colleen Willis; two sons, Brian and Patrick Willis and their mother Maureen Delaney Willis; three sisters, Cheri (Tony) Leonti of FL, Donna (James) Perry of Niles, and Kathleen (Mark) Reynolds; nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his companion, Natalie Allen and her children, Harley Smith, Laura and Austin Allen. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St. Spring Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron. Friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8 at White Chapel. Contributions in Kevin's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA. 02241-7005.

Kevin, Even though I retired many years ago, you were a kind soul, a true friend,loyal beyond belief. I spoke to you just a few days before your last journey, and I thank God for that. Lt. Willis I was so sad when I heard of your passing. One of the first things out of my mouth was, "at least it was a beautiful day and he was on his bike". The entire jail feels a loss without you there. Rest in peace and Godspeed.

All of my love and prayers to Lt. Willis' family, friends and loved ones. I worked with Lt. Willis, in fact a couple of weeks ago he was my acting Captain for the day as our two Captains were not at work that day. I had a nice day with him, we chatted quite a bit. He was a good man and I will miss him a lot. May his love and memories get you through this very difficult time. God Bless you all.

Today we said goodbye to the best little brother anybody could have had. You left us way too early. We love you Kevin and will miss you dearly, may you rest in peace. Thank you to all the Corrections Officers and firemen who paid their respect, it was an over whelming show of support that made us so proud of Kevin. Love and prayers to all who loved and knew him.

Kevin was a good friend of mine. I am going to miss our motorcycle rides together, our camping trips to Gettysburg, our lunches and dinners we shared with you and Natalie.
