Marie Maiden Obituary
Montour Falls - Age 77 of Montour Falls, NY. Marie Maiden, daughter of Cecil & Isadore Ford of Ulster, PA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 10, 2017. She moved to Montour Falls to start the Tailor Shop in Main Street nearly 20 years ago. Her life in Montour was her happiest after raising three successful children all on her own. It was her proudest accomplishment. Marie is survived by her loving son Roger Edwin Smith; her daughter and son-in-law Dani Marie and Richard Copp of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter and son-in-law Earlene Marie and James Shillingford of Levittown, PA; Rachel and Kyle Smith of Factoryville, PA; cats Oreo and Bosco. Equally loved in her life were the entire towns of Montour Falls and Watkins Glen. You all know who you are. Services will be announced in the future.
Thank you Montour Falls for loving and caring for our Mother all these years. Roger, Dani & Earlene.

I will miss her. She was a " good stick" as my husband used to say. I got the courage to buy clothes because I knew she could alter them and make them fit. I considered her a friend.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. I hope the promise in Hosea 13:14 can bring much comfort. My sincere condolences to the family and friends.

To Marie's Family;
She was a great lady in our community and we were so lucky to have known her. My husband worked at the SC Sheriff Dept. and she was always doing all their fixing and mending. Her shop was so much more than sewing, it was a cozy place to chat with a friend who always listened and cared.
We were blessed to have been able to spend time with her and I know she will be missed by many. From our family to yours- God Bless.
