Mary Weigle Obituary
Mary passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. She resided in Glenmont, NY under the loving care of her daughters, Judy and Barbara. She was formerly of Elmira Heights, NY. Her husband, James Weigle, Sr., predeceased her in 2000. Mary was born in Lykens, PA, daughter of the late Paul and Sophie (Bilinski) Comereski. She is survived by her children Judy Riopelle of Glenmont, NY, Barbara Bateman of Delmar, NY and Jim (Sue) Weigle of Crystal River, FL; several beloved grandchildren (each one precious); brother-in-law Bernard Weigle of Horseheads; many loving nieces and nephews including Joe Comereski of Camano Island, WA and Joan McNamara of Erin, NY; and special friends Helen Spirawk, Rita Pesesky and Roger Freas. Mary was a lifetime member of the St. Charles Borromeo Altar & Rosary Society, the Catholic War Vets, and The American Legion Post 154. She was a member of the Soaring Eagles Polka Club, the Chit Chat Club, and the Wanda Circle at St. Casimir's. Mary was ever so caring, extremely witty, and was a role model for handling life with laughter. She will be genuinely missed by all, including her beloved cats Chloe and TJ. Mary was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 21st at 10 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 130 Oakwood Ave., Elmira Heights. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Elmira Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
